How does the Elo rating system work?
Our Elo rating system is based on the classic chess rating algorithm, adapted for team-based games. When you win, you gain rating points from your opponents. The amount depends on the rating difference — beating higher-rated opponents gives more points. Try our Elo Calculator to experiment with different scenarios.

Is it really free?
Yes. The free plan includes 50 per leaderboard matches per day, 3 concurrent leaderboards and 100 matches of match history — enough for most communities. No credit card, no trial that expires. Free leagues do carry ads on their public leaderboard pages, and paid plans remove them. Optional paid plans start at $1.99/month.

What games are supported?
Team Up works with any competitive game. Our system is game-agnostic, so whether you play League of Legends, Valorant, CS2, Rocket League, or even board games — you can create leaderboards and organize matches. See all game setup guides.

Can I run tournaments with Team Up?
Yes. Create single or double elimination tournaments from the web dashboard, let players register through Discord buttons or your league's tournament page, and auto-seed the bracket from Elo ratings. Everyone follows along on a live web bracket, and the /tournaments command posts schedules and live tournament updates right in your server.

How long does setup take?
Most communities are up and running in under 5 minutes. Add the bot, run a quick setup command, and start tracking matches. Our guided setup walks you through each step.

What do paid plans add?
Pro ($1.99/month) raises the limits to 250 per leaderboard matches per day and 25 leaderboards, and adds automatic tier roles, an ad-free public leaderboard site, REST API access and priority support. Unlimited ($4.99/month) removes the limits entirely and adds custom leaderboard styling, custom branding and custom rating algorithms. White Label adds your own Discord bot and removes Team Up branding — compare all plans.

Can I try Pro or Unlimited before purchasing?
Yes. New customers get their first 7 days of Pro or Unlimited free. Start the trial from the pricing page and apply it to your league. We take a card up front and it is charged when the 7 days are up, so cancel any time before then if you do not want to continue — you won't be charged. One trial per account — and if your subscription lapses, a new trial unlocks 90 days after it ends.
