01 Four steps

How to make a tournament flyer

  1. 1

    Type your event

The name, the date and start time in your time zone, the format and how many players or teams. The flyer writes the rest: "Registration open", the facts row, the call to action.

  2. 2

    Add your sign-up link

Paste your Discord invite, start.gg or Challonge page, or a Google Form. It prints as a QR code, so people scan the poster and land on your sign-ups.

  3. 3

    Pick a look

Eight templates, from a stadium at night to pixel art. Swap the background, darken it, use your own colours, or pick a graphic like a trophy or a ball.

  4. 4

    Download or print

Portrait for Instagram and Discord, story for Stories and TikTok, a link-preview image, and a 2160 × 2700 print file. Print / Save as PDF fits Letter and A4.

02 Design tips

What makes a good esports flyer

Lead with the date

People decide in two seconds whether they can make it. A clear date, a start time and the time zone answer that before anything else. The flyer prints the zone for you, so an online event reads right worldwide.

Say what it is in five words

The event name is the headline. "Friday Night Cup" says more than "Tournament #4". Put the game or the prize in the kicker line above it if it isn't in the name.

Give one way to sign up

One QR code to one place. A Discord invite works for a community event; a form or a start.gg page when you need names in advance.

Make it readable at phone size

Most flyers are seen in a feed or a Discord channel, not on a wall. The templates keep the text large and check its contrast, and lighten a colour you pick if it would be hard to read.

03 Beyond the poster

Run the tournament on Team Up

The same flyers, made from a real tournament: free for Discord communities.

A bracket that fills itself in

Run the tournament on Team Up and the Bracket, Final Stage and Matchups posters draw the real bracket, updated after every result.

Sign-ups in Discord

Players register with a button in your server. Check-in, seeding and the draw happen in one place.

Your own images

With a free account, upload your logo or a photo for the background and the hero spot.

A public tournament page

The QR code points to a page with the live bracket, the schedule and the results.

Flyer maker questions

Sizes, printing, QR codes and what's free.

Is the flyer maker free?

Yes. Make as many flyers as you like and download them without an account. Each flyer carries a small "Made with Team Up" mark.

What sizes can I download?

Portrait (1080 × 1350) for Instagram and Discord, story (1080 × 1920), a 1200 × 630 link-preview image, and landscape (1920 × 1080) on the templates that have it. For print there is a 2160 × 2700 PNG and a print view that fits Letter and A4.

How do I print it or save it as a PDF?

Press Print / Save as PDF. The flyer goes on the page at 8 × 10 inches, which fits both Letter and A4. Pick "Save as PDF" as the printer to get a PDF.

What can the QR code link to?

Your Discord invite (discord.gg or discord.com/invite), a start.gg or Challonge page, a Google Form, or a teamupgg.com page. Flyers carry our name, so other links aren't accepted.

Can I add my own logo or photo?

Not on the free maker. With a free Team Up account you can create the tournament and make its flyer from the dashboard, with your own images and the bracket filled in as results come in.

Why are some templates missing?

The Bracket, Final Stage and Matchups posters draw the actual bracket, so they need a tournament with players. Run your tournament on Team Up and they update after every result.

Does it work for sports other than esports?

Yes. Courtside is a basketball court, Floodlight a stadium at night, and Heritage and Crest suit any club or league. Pick a graphic like a ball or a trophy, and set your own colours.

Is my flyer saved?

Your draft is kept in this browser, so it is still there when you come back; we don't keep the form. The flyer images we draw are cached for up to 90 days so they load quickly, under an address only your page gets.

Flyer done. Now run the event.
