Quick answers to common questions
Q How do I set up a leaderboard?
Setting up a leaderboard is easy! Just use the /record_match elo command to record your first match, and a leaderboard will be created automatically. Editing its display name, description, and custom colors has moved to the web dashboard — run /profile leaderboard in Discord to view the current settings and get a direct edit link.
Q How do I track match results?
Use the /record_match elo command followed by placements. For example: /record_match elo 1st_place:@player1 2nd_place:@player2. For team matches, group teammates with parentheses like: /record_match elo 1st_place:(@player1 @player2) 2nd_place:(@player3 @player4). For quick 1v1 matches, you can also use the simpler /record_match quick command.
Q How do I configure tier roles?
Use the /tiers create command to create custom tiers that automatically assign Discord roles based on player ratings. Specify the rating type, required Elo rating threshold, and the Discord role to assign. This feature requires a PRO or UNLIMITED subscription.
Q Can I customize my leaderboard?
Yes! Editing your leaderboard's display name, description, custom colors, and icon/banner images has moved to the web dashboard's Branding page. Run /profile leaderboard in Discord to view the current settings and get a direct edit link. You can also create auto-updating leaderboard messages in Discord channels with /leaderboard display.
Q How does the Elo rating system work?
The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players. After each game, points are transferred from the loser to the winner. Try our interactive Elo Calculator to see how different match outcomes affect ratings.
Q Where can I find the full documentation?
Visit our Documentation section for comprehensive tutorials, API reference, configuration guides, and more. Looking for a specific command? The command reference lists every slash command with its options.
Q How do I set up matchmaking queues?
Use the /queue_versus headless command to create automatic matchmaking queues, or /queue_versus hosted for manual lobbies. Check our Matchmaking Guide for details on team formation, match results, and advanced features.
