Team Up supports single elimination and double elimination brackets. Single elimination works with any participant count — byes are placed automatically. Double elimination runs a full winners bracket, losers bracket, and grand final, and needs a power-of-two field (4, 8, 16, 32...). Round robin and Swiss formats are on the roadmap.

Two ways: enable self-serve registration and players click a Register button right on the Discord schedule or tournament message (or sign up on your league's public tournament page), or manage the roster yourself from the web dashboard. You can cap the field size and set an unregister deadline so the bracket stays stable close to start time.

Link the tournament to one of your leaderboards and one click auto-seeds the bracket by Elo rating — your top-rated player becomes the #1 seed, and top seeds are placed on opposite sides of the bracket. Prefer manual control? Drag and drop participants into any seed order from the dashboard.

Yes — when a tournament is linked to a leaderboard, every recorded match writes to match history and updates Elo ratings, so a strong tournament run moves the ladder. Undoing a result rolls the rating change back too. You can also run standalone tournaments with no leaderboard link, where the bracket alone decides the outcome.

Yes. Every tournament gets a public web page with a live bracket, an up-next queue, a recent results feed, and final standings — shareable with anyone, no Discord login needed. In Discord, the /tournaments display message updates automatically as the event progresses, and a champion announcement is posted when the final is recorded.

Yes! Tournaments are included on the free tier alongside leaderboards and matchmaking. Paid plans ($1.99/month Pro, $4.99/month Unlimited) raise match limits and add extras like automatic tier roles and custom styling — ideal for larger events.

Tournaments support up to 256 participants. Set a registration cap (8, 16, 32, 64, 128, or unlimited) to control the field size. Single elimination handles any field size with automatic byes; double elimination needs a power-of-two field.
