League of Legends Inhouse Leaderboards and Role Ratings on Discord
Inhouses where a jungler and a support are rated on ladders that can tell them apart.
League inhouses have a measurement problem that most rated queues do not. Ten players, one result, five very different jobs — and a plain win/loss ladder credits all ten of them identically. The support who ran perfect vision on a losing bot lane and the mid who was 9/1 come out of the same match with the same rating change in opposite directions, which over a season produces a ladder where the top of the board is mostly a list of who plays carry roles.
The fix is not to invent a performance score. It is to stop pretending one ladder is enough. If a player queues jungle on Tuesday and support on Thursday, those are two different claims about their skill, and a rating that averages them describes neither.
Team Up's Player Choices rating type exists for exactly this: the choice a player makes at queue time — their role — becomes part of what is being rated, so the same person carries a jungle rating and a support rating independently. Balance then draws on the rating for the role they actually queued.

Use Player Choices, with roles as the option set
Configure an option set on the leaderboard (dashboard → Option Sets, then Customize → Player Choices) with your five roles, and set the leaderboard's rating type to Player Choices. Players pick a role when they queue; ratings are tracked per role. This is the single decision that makes an inhouse ladder mean anything.

Choose your granularity deliberately
Player Choices (All) pools every format together; Player Choices (Specific Format) keeps 5v5 separate from anything else you run. For a server that only runs inhouses, All is simpler and the boards fill faster. Splitting is for communities running more than one thing.

Balance on the role rating
With Team Formation on Balanced Teams, a player who queues support is balanced on their support rating rather than an average that their mid games inflated. This is where per-role ratings pay for the extra setup — it is not a display detail, it changes which teams the bot draws.

Enforce unique roles
The matchmaking settings include unique-choice matching, so a queue will not assemble a team with two junglers and no support. Turn it on before your first night rather than after the first team that had to sort it out in chat.

Autofill is a rating question too
When someone gets autofilled off their main role, their rating in the filled role is the honest input — which is the correct behaviour and will feel harsh the first time it costs someone a game. Say so up front. A group that understands why the ladder did something rarely objects to it.
